Ah, but if they have any sense, they've locked in a price (within the range of a collar) and are only pushing the tax event, not the risk, to next year. Now, Al., sounds like you might know something about securites laws. If so, answer me these: Is it correct that insiders must file when they buy a collar? How long do they have to file? Would it appear like any sale or would it not appear at all in the Form 4 and/or Rule 144 info? Precisely who would be precluded from trading right now as you suggest? Officers and Directors? How is the period determined? Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer these. Bob(the only stupid question is the one you don't ask)
