Selfcare investment/lawsuit:

Many things have changed since the post that you linked to. However it is still true that Trinity can make money on the deal even as SLF shares are sinking. Just not as much.

TRIBY paid $2.5 million for SLF shares, some of which are the subject of a lawsuit. Taking Ronan at his word from the last conference call: If Trinity ends up owning at least 80% of the disputed shares, then their cost basis will be about $3.80 per SLF share.

Another way to think about it: each share of TRIBY owns roughly 0.034 shares of SLF. Assume that this is factored into the price already. Thus when SLF drops by $1, the value of a TRIBY share should drop by about 3 cents.
