The keystone pipeline is mostly built out........the small, purple segment is under construction and mostly done. Most of the Canadian oil already is getting piped south. The segment under contention is the portion in green. That segment will allow additional oil to be picked up in MT......which is not a lot. The major raison d'etre for the contested pipeline is that the oil coming from Alberta can get to market faster. The Rs have made it a bigger deal that it is:
