IQE: potential play on GaN(etc)-on-Si as well as VCSEL. Kopin acquisition January 2013 was for 75M USD or ~50M GBP. Market cap at 18.25 pence is ~120M GBP. Assuming value of the Kopin technology (primarily HBT wafers) is still the same, the rest of the technology is only valued at ~70M GBP. Seems low to me, but esoteric materials stocks are valued with a skeptical eye in the markets. Competion and customer concentration are always issues, but otoh there has been some consolidation in this area.
