"What the Muslims are doing these days (with the cooperation of politicians like Obama), is
conducting a form of guerrilla warfare (GW). That is contrasted with conventional warfare (CW).
In CW, the objective is to win the last battle, then destroy the enemy's chances of regrouping and
restarting (like we did to the Germans and Japanese after WW2's last battles). In CW, the enemy
is quite obviously defeated, and you can do with him as you please.
GW is much different. You never know exactly who the enemy is, and it can change from time to time.
He conduct attacks, and then fades back into the populace, so it is impossible to win a climactic battle
with him. And even if you do, he fades back into the background, regroups, and comes at you again.
He gets support from family, friends and sympathizers: "poor, defenseless, innocent civilians" it is
not politically correct to kill or injure. So the guerrilla lives to fight again, sneaking up on your conventional
forces when and where he thinks he can get the most effect and publicity. And again, fades away.
The only REAL way to win in GW is to destroy those who support the guerrillas, whether civilians or not.
And few politicians have the balls to do anything like that, or even suggest doing it.
So we will have guerrillas forever, in all likelihood, IMHO."
