Well, what a strange trip it has been on this thread. I must say that I have been out of the picture for some time now and glad of that. I still monitor the thread out of curiosity. The reason for abandoning ship a while back was a couple of things I noticed that seemed interesting. I listened and enjoyed Mr. Meyer's posts for some time. I believed them until I realized a flaw in them. I don't know if any of you remember one of his old posts that said something along the lines of Mr. Meyers says he was at an investor meeting with potential investors a while back with JP. He stated that when he met with JP, Mr. Palermo said something along the lines of "I don't know much about golf, but I do know how to make money...." The quote is not exact, but I remember it like that to some extent. In,I think, his last or next to last post, Mr. Meyers stated that he had never met JP, but JP was well aware of his concerns from the notes JP was recieving on his desk from Mr. Meyers concerning his views on financing. Now I am not sure exactly how those posts read and clarify me if you can. I just found all of this odd. The third reason which made me sell a while ago is the tape that Mr. Mills sent everyone. At the very end of the tape, Mr. Palermo stated that the company needed a "little luck" to suceed. I didn't find that too professional, even from a CEO trying to relate to his shareholders. Well, those were my reasons and i'm sorry for anyone who is still aboard. I hope the best to all. Mike |
