And finally, in several articles he lays out with specificity the precise reason the aquifer is not exposed and in fact, refers to it as a "physical impossibility" that substantial damage to the aquifer would be done even if a spill did occur. He has also pointed out that the water contained in the aquifer is so vast that only 1/2 of 1% of that water has been used thus far by Nebraskans. He really lays waste to the idea that the aquifer has anything at all to do with the refusal to permit the pipeline.
