The American media are sure as hell running from it. Only Fox broadcast any of the offensive material, and even they quit after the once incident. All NBC channels were told by management not to display offensive material. When you say American media are running from it, do you mean the Arkansas Post Gazette? I ask because I have seen the Charlie images from tv media like CNN to the print media like Bloomberg to web based media like Gawker. If you watched or read something other than Fox News or the Post Gazette, you would know that. What needs to happen is to flood the news media with the so-called offensive material and leave it out there until they are totally desensitized to it. But our media don't have the guts to do it. So then, you think that satirical photos of Muhammad and other Muslim clerics is at the root of the problem and explains why radicalized terrorists and criminals are terrorizing people? Is that correct?
