Roulston, Humphreys say why to buy Ryan Gold

Lawrence Roulston and Tommy Humphreys, in the Dec. 22, 2014, edition of Resource Opportunities, tell readers why to buy Ryan Gold Corp., recently 11 cents. This is the first time they have recommended the stock. Ryan is named after Shawn Ryan, a famous Yukon prospector. Although it was an exploration stock a few years ago, when the Yukon was enjoying one of its occasional flashes of activity, it is now strictly a shell play. Mr. Humphreys is mainly interested because it holds $21.2-million cash with just $172,000 in liabilities as of its September financials. By comparison, its market cap is around $11.7-million, meaning investors are buying the stock at a $10-million discount to cash. As well, on Dec. 10, Ryan appointed a new CEO in Mark Goodman, the son of well-known mining financier Ned Goodman. Mr. Humphreys reckons that the Goodmans will be able to come up with a good transaction for cash-rich Ryan. He would be happy buying the stock at its current level and selling it for a three- to four-penny increase in 2015.
