It doesn't just support the Canadian oil industry, it supports the U.S. oil industry.

The more oil that comes in the more refineries and refinery workers.


All of the oil is coming into the refineries. With the proposed addition to the Keystone, some of it will come in faster. That's all. The latest addition is simply a redundant short cut. I wouldn't care since the Canadians will pay for its construction ,,mbut the pipeline goes over the Ogallala aquifer:

The owners of the land on which the pipeline would run are against it and so am I.
