How global can it be if it is not backward competible with 1) AMPS 2) CDMAOne BTW, how do Ericssion call GSM if they preach CDMA One is "narrow band" CDMA? GSM channel is 200khz per link, CDMA One is 1.25Mhz. By logic, Ericssion should call GSM "extremely narrow band", funny they do not mention it when they sell GSM to PCS customers. I wonder why... In the past Ericssion claimed CDMAOne has not met with its original claims. However, GSM has not met its claims either: 1) half rate vocoder. Where is this "doubling the capacity feature"? 2) dynamic TDMA channel allocation. Hughes Network System, an original proponent of ETDMA, is on the CDMA One bandwagon. Where is this capacity increasing feature? Both of them were promised years ago to customers. Where are they. Ericssion? WCDMA? Work on your GSM first!
