I'll just respond to the point that's the important one:
2) You seem to be implying that Nomyidea can make these disks for less than IOM--this doesn't make sense....

I did not mean to imply that. Iomega sells the disks at a high premium. That's their profit--the key to the "give away the razors and sell them the blades" business model that they rely upon. This gives room for Nomai to undercut their prices if Nomai is willing to make less profit on the disks.
