I agree with that article and those things SHOULD be done.

I just don't agree with the idea of spending a $100 Billion on high speed trains that will NEVER pay for themselves.

And where could you find a WORSE place to build high speed trains than California???? The earthquake epicenter of the U.S.?

That kinda exemplifies what's WRONG with government. The money they spend isn't THEIRS and they don't have to worry about whether a venture will be successful. They get their salaries and pensions anyway.
