Puts in an RRSP

Although I am not a tax expert, it is my understanding that puts are not a qualified investment vehicle within RRSPs period. So it doesn't matter what broker you use - none of them will allow it.

Although you could argue that your selling of puts was used to actually purchase the stock (if you get assigned) it is my belief that Revenue Canada does not have a firm grip on the many strategies available to option positions and thus will not allow there use in RRSPs.
