I don't think they're underhanded, I just think that they're a small fish in a big pond and they're going to starve fighting for food telling themselves what a great fish they are. They aren't in a "build a better mousetrap" field, they don't have steady long term growth from dependable sources and I haven't seen any marketing skills whatsoever.
