Governments have been helping rich people pick winners for millenea. The swiss franc peg was supposed to help exporters, who should have hedged themselves. What about the consumers and importers who would have paid less? They are laughing now but they should be wary what the government will screw up next. Every day our governments are wasting our money propping up dictators, subsidising this or that industry, giving tax breaks to some people, all the while letting education and infrastructure rot and giving millions of foreigners special immigration visas because of alledged shortages of some skills when in fact they are just capping everyones wages.

Banks and their friends in the government rig the financial markets so that they can hog all the profitable trading and leave the common investors holding the bag and the taxpayer on the hook.

Everybody needs to start taking business away from large companies and putting it at the bottom where the real work is done. Large companies push down wages and dumb down people while providing inferior products and services and solidifying pathological behaviour and social trends (office politics, long commutes, governement corruption).
