Paul, you are not paid to have a mind that feels the need to "creatively" reorganize company property without regard for the consequenses. You are not paid to play DOOM on the corporate property.

Why don't you start a revolution? Or a PAC? "DOWN-TRODDEN USERS of the WORLD! THROW OFF THOSE MIS SHACKLES!"

HA! This keeps getting better. This is funny. But enough is enough.

Nobody is picking on you personally Paul. Least not me. Things change and some of your ideas are the same ones that cause a LOT of trouble for the people that make sure that your computing environment works.

There is a new game in town that seems to promise both some of what you need and a bunch of what corporate management needs. Management is hired to run the company, make it profitable and sustainable first and foremost.

If they believe that network versions of DOOM and Rocky & Bullwinkle screen savers, having to load software of every blesed HD in the enterprise and keep it updated, constantly adjusting individual user environments, is too much... that IS their perogative. I am not just talking about MIS, I refer to the people that OWN the company you work for. What YOU the user do with THEIR equipment is THEIR decision. Or don't you agree with that either?
