Humans and yeast have something in common. They both care a lot more about the present than they do about the future. Let's consider those folks that wrote those research reports. Do you think they would keep writing them and publishing them if it threatened their livelihood? The leader of the Senate is a wealthy man and a smart man but he defends the mining and usage of coal. Do you think that he actually BELIEVES that coal is a good fuel? When it comes down to it there aren't that many altruistic people in the world. I wouldn't doubt that there are more altruistic yeast on a percentage basis than humans but every time they RISE to proclaim themselves we EAT them....
