In the long term, I don't think they will hurt him because as aghast as the press acts over those two issues, the American public mostly agrees with what he has done. For me, the NSA is a much bigger issue and it disturbs me far more than his drone policy. Unfortunately, the US has been on the NSA path for decades and Americans seem to be oblivious to its implications.

It depends on what he does over the next two years.

While the next two years are important, I think what he's already done................the ACA and his leadership during the Great Recession.........will get him into the 'greats column'.
