Interesting points, and who is to say that your perceptions are not valid? -g-
Imagine if there were some form of intelligence that were so small that it perceives a string particle (relative to our perspective) as we perceive the universe, or some form of intelligence that were so vast that it perceives our universe (relative to our perspective) as we perceive a string particle. Then, continue the iterations of both into infinity without end. It's maddening. -g-
What I mean by that is that there may be nothing outside the universe that is perceivable as anything like another universe.
This brings us full circle back to my original observation that we cannot resolve infinity in our minds -- and I don't mean an infinite universe, but the universe and everything beyond the universe. Even if our limited minds reduce everything to a single, very vast intelligence that is "holding" everything in the "palm of his hands", we immediately begin wondering what this vast intelligence exists within. If "he" is holding everything, what does "he" see when "he" looks around? It's maddening to think about. Our minds are incapable of resolving infinity. -g-
Imagine the biggest number you can possibly think of, and I can always imagine a larger one, and you, in turn, can imagine an even larger one, and on and on and on, Ad infinitum. We only need to add 1 (or even 1e-150) to any number, regardless of its size, to make it a little larger. The possibilities are maddening. -g- |
