Call me a SAP, I love all the Carpenter christmas songs still. I often wonder how much incredible music Karen Carpenter could have made if she would have lived a normal life span.

OH! Another Christmas mystery solved...:-)

The Little Known Legend About How The Angel Came To Be Atop The Christmas Tree.

Santa was very cross.ÿ It was Christmas Eve and NOTHING was going right.
Mrs. Claus had burned all the cookies.ÿ The elves were complaining about not
getting paid for the overtime they worked while making the toys.ÿ The reindeer
had been drinking all afternoon and were dead drunk.ÿ To make matters worse,
they had taken the sleigh out for a spin earlier in the day and crashed it
into a tree.

Santa was furious.ÿ "I can't believe it!ÿ I've got to deliver millions of
toys and presents all over the world in just a few hours.ÿ All my reindeer are
drunk, the elves are on strike and I don't even have a Christmas tree!!ÿ I
sent that stupid little angel out hours ago to find a tree and he isn't even
back yet?ÿ What am I going to do??"

Just then, the little angel opened the front door and stepped in from the
snowny night, dragging a Christmas tree.ÿ He said, "YO, Fat Man, where do you
want to stick the tree this year?"

And thus the tradition of the angel atop the Christmas tree came to
pass......so to speak!!
