All: Here are some thoughts on some issues to focus on the next few days:

1. I think North American SEMI Equipment Book-to-Bill should be reported today at some time. Look for it on the wires.

2. SFAM just reported that they made estimates of .49 per quarter. This may have been the first time they failed to exceed estimates. Listen to the conference call at (402) 220-1012 for 7 days after 4:30 PST to get a feel for the environment. The management is conservative.

3. Watch carefully the trading pattern for SFAM the next few days. Closed strongly today at $25 per share on good volume after recovering from below $20 last week. Perhaps we can get a glimpse into the short term sentiment in this sector. It will be interesting to see if the company is neutral to positive on the cc and if the stock rises Thursday only to close $25 or less over the next few days. If this occurs, we will have a AMAT repeat performance (rise and fall the day after the cc) and the bearishness in this sector will be confirmed.
