My preoccupation these days is trying to fathom how existence does not have a beginning. I don't mean our human existence, or even the existence of universe. I am referring to whatever preceded the universe, and whatever preceded that which preceded the universe, and on and on and on. It's unimaginable, because even nothingness is something from our human perspective. Whatever we call it, it did not have a beginning. It's the most bizarre thought that I can imagine.

Even if we say, "let's go back to a point before space and time existed," the question becomes, "what preceded space and time?"

Let's say we decide to call it pre-space and pre-time. Okay. What if we go back to a point before pre-space and pre-time existed? What existed then? On and on and on... End result? No beginning. :-/
