Always been confortable with 'creations' as opposed to the singular, which is characteristic of that non dual philosophy.
We have seen the phenomenonal events of this universe expand to create a consciousness that has emerged in us, now become aware of all mechanistic nature in operation, that is saying alot. These Advaita philosophers are some of the more intelligent human beings that cultivated a natural theology which takes in an understanding of the amazingly organized structures of the microcosm (which we are), balanced with awareness of that larger mechanistic milieu from which we have emerged.
And what an emergence that has been, i am not surprised we have peered as far as we have & these added views (understandings) that take in both micro & macrosm(s) certainly seem to have confirmed what the wise always knew. What we have seen emerge here on this planet so incrementially, over so much time, thru deep freeze and thaw, and still bounce back & keep progressing into 'us' seeing it...is quite a great experience.
But we don't have all that much free will yet, i agree with Ramesh that is still a work in progress but coming along, we'll prolly hear alot more from the Advaitist thinkers as India continues its own 'arising' as one of the great emergent democratic nation states.
(Somehow don't think the story of Adam & Eve, original sin is really covering it) |
