Russian pipeline contract!?! News Article by AFP on December 17, 1997 at 16:00:42: KHARTOUM, Dec 17 (AFP) - Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Osman Ismail left for Moscow Tuesday on a three-day official visit to Russia, Sudan television reported. Russia has just signed a contract for a 1,600-km (1100 mile) pipeline to carry Sudanese oil from oil fields in southwest Sudan to the country's port Sudan Harbour on the Red Sea. ___________________________________________ ???
