About eight years ago I was reading The Holographic Universe: The Revolutionary Theory of Reality. amazon.com The author proposes that our reality is a holographic projection from the real universe. I got about half way through. Found a more interesting book at a thrift store. Black Elk Speaks: Being the Life Story of a Holy Man of the Oglala Sioux goodreads.com Black Elk was 11 years old at the battle of the Little Bighorn. He killed one of Custer's troops who was playing dead. A quote from the book “Crazy Horse dreamed and went into the world where there is nothing but the spirits of all things. That is the real world that is behind this one, and everything we see here is something like a shadow from that one.” I took the Black Elk quote as affirmation of the holographic premise for a long time. Now I'm back to not knowing.
