I am just checking in on SI this a.m. I looked at the sites that I had written on previously. I was drawn to this one.

December and January are full of spirits for me. It's almost like a gathering of friends and family.

Recently I spent almost 2 years on top of a mountain in a a house that my oldest brother and his wife, the loves of his life built after retiring from super jobs in Dallas---------I never expected to be there. Again, I was giving a piano lesson in the D.C. area when I heard of an emergency with my brother in Arkansas.

I went for a 2 week visit and ended up being appointed by the court to replace a Temporary Guardian . I closed up my abode and stayed for 2 years with my brother. That is a real story I am not ready to write. I will never regret being there as his sister, POA, caregiver, driver, cook----etc.

As POA now back in the D.C. area, when I get relaxed and paying attention to details for him or shifting to my personal details of life. I will get a call from the nursing/home and rehab center he was placed in after a PTSD and medical problem.

Again a chapter in the book-------to be written.

This past week , I wondered why I had not heard from the staff that calls------ at 12:30 a.m. I received a call on Friday a.m. my time. The nurse calling said my brother had --------'ESCAPED" AND BEEN OUTSIDE IN THE SMALL PARKING LOT (SMALL, MY EDIT).

i asked what she meant-----yes remaining calm and logical. My personal reaction was 'bully for my brother". He loves to be outside-----he has lived his life being outdoors and active.

Now what does this have to do with 'ghosts'------I am not sure. My immediate reaction was that my brother was being viewed as a 'criminal' and not a man who has served society in numerous ways.

CRIMINALS ESCAPE: Old people with alzhiemers do not escape. I was appalled at the terminology used --------by the staff person.

I will write no more. What I do is to visualize our mother who is deceased, and ask for her guidance.
