Todtman, >>>So I think the question Intel investors should be asking is: What is the historical p/e multiple mean for this stock? It may also help, I think, to consider the historical varience around this mean? E.g., what is one standard deviation about this mean? Since this is on my mind and I don't know, can someone supply the mean p/e multiple for Intel over, say, the last 10 years?<<<

Not wishing you any bad luck, but there are threads devoted to Technical Analysis where you will find more kindred spirits. From what I can tell, this thread is where a lot of the technical (meaning technology) types hang out (and those of us investors who would like to know more about the technology behind our investments and hoping that by hanging out here, we could get smarter about the technology that looks to have great impact on the world at large).

Most of the engineering types hanging out on this thread are not really into voodoo analysis and psuedo forward looking mathematics.

I could be wrong, but I think you may be wasting your time on this thread. Hope this helps.

Mary

PS: Please come back and tell us where you and your kindred spirit congregate.
