The government pays for lots of things, like a worthless congress and enough military gear to fight WWIII. Buffet doesn't want his money spent on that, so he gives it directly to the people who need it
But that directly contradicts Buffett's desire to pay more taxes.

If he gives it all away to charity, he's not paying a cent of that money to the government.

Seems like Buffett wants to pay LESS taxes, not MORE.

But I suppose for you, the difference is that he's giving it away to charity, unlike those evil Koch Bros. who give it all away to the Republicans.

Either way, Buffett isn't going to pay more in taxes, yet he wants to force others to either pay more or donate more.

Might sound fair to you ... until you realize that most of the world considers YOU "rich" ...
