Petz,

How do you arrive at 95 mm^2 die size for Tillamook?

You can never compare the gate widths of polysilicon by looking at relative die size.

So you DON'T THINK the local interconnects tell the whole story but DO THINK die size tell the whole story. Could you elaborate on this DON'T THINK and DO THINK?

Complex manufacturing, yes, did kill AMD in '97. But since AMD has not overcome this issue, '98 would be a repeat of '97. And the fixed cost of manufacturing is getting higher and higher!

By the way, from your posts, you do sound like you are praying. Face it! This is technology! This is reality! This is not wishful thinking!

John.
