No surprise here....

Having money in the bank can make you less sad, but not happy, UBC study finds

SNIP:
“We show that higher income is associated with experiencing less daily sadness, but has no bearing on daily happiness.”

Anyone with money who tries to make you think they are happier than others because of it is a FRAUD. At best they are "less sad"

Don't let their smiles fool you.

not that they all smile

I have a friend I've known for nearly 45 years now. He has lived on a boat in the Bay between Sausalito and the Belvedere Tiburon Peninsula for almost 30 years - in which time he never earned more than $800 in a month, and that ONE month he managed $800 was the exception.

Here's a pic he took from his boat

.
About 10 years ago the 26 ft sailboat he lived on sunk. A local woman heard what happened and GAVE him... yes, GAVE him.... the 50 ft boat he lives on today.

We correspond regularly...I just got off the phone with him a few minutes ago
