A couple of the results of the Obama economy are a smashingly strong dollar and low oil and gas prices. I don't know how you could possible suggest that either of these could have been better had we spent wildly. Another benefit to the middle class is low interest rates....
But of course most of that money borrowed by our government then ends up stimulating China and Korea and Jpan and Germany as we would have gone out and bought electronics and European cars.

But look at how you characterize it--"had we spent wildly."

No one was suggesting that we spend "wildly," although clearly that could have been the effective result. However, spending intelligently on various infrastructure projects that need to be done anyway at some point would not have resulted in the money just going overseas. Whether the money would have been spent intelligently is of course another question. Obviously, the RW thinks that that is impossible for government except of course when it is spent on the military, lol, but that ain't necessarily so, as the song goes.

And both a "smashingly strong dollar" and low interest rates are double edged swords. Companies are already reporting headwinds to 2015 results due to the strong dollar. And savers get penalized by rates that are effectively zero for the vast majority of people. That often results in people stretching for yield, and getting into investments that yield more but have risks that shouldn't be taken--one of the factors that led to the 2007-08 debacle.
