Maybe those increases would have happened with or without ObamaCare, but that also means ObamaCare failed to reduce costs as promised.

Actually it's more complicated than that. Obamacare mandates a minimum sets of benefits that all policies had to comply with...which is why people lost existing policies...they did not comply with ACA. So when you hear that people are paying more it's because they are getting more too. Now one can disagree that that was an unfair sideeffect of the law...and I even agree with that. But it is clear and it has been published by multiple sources that the escalation of health care costs has slowed...partly because of the recession we went through and perhaps partly because of ACA.
