freeus: I deserve an attaboy too! I sold at 31, just bought back at 29, 28, 27, etc.
That's what makes the world go round. Some winners, some loosers. If only we could switch positions now and then. But since I was taught in school that the world is flat, looks like it's just too hard to get on the other side.
So freeus, we on the dark side need some attaboys too. Here is what to say:
"Al and the others, you are the real heros, just doing your research, watching your company grow(NEXTEL), sticking with you judgement through thick and thin, willing to back the cause that you believe in, willing to fight back the adversarial remarks of others, bolstering the feelings of other Nextel investors, on and on....."
You won't catch us saying "I soid my Nextel at 31, ha ha". We are the real heros, we still have the stock. It's just that there are many different ways of spelling hero. ie. bad judgement, dedicated to a fault, unable to make a decision, love the product, bought the product, don't check on positions during the day.
So when the next award is given, don't forget the rest of us, the real heros of SI.
