The flaw in your logic is that you're assuming that everyone whom the subject has slandered or defamed on SI posts under an anonymous pseudonym and/or is not known to anyone else on SI by his/her true identity.

If a poster posts lies and disparaging remarks about your presumably anonymous pseudonym, Greg or e, and you have dozens of friends and acquaintance on SI who also know you by your true identify in real life, and they read those lies and disparaging remarks, what would a judge and jury in civil court have to say about that?

You could certainly throw a pile of money away on lawyers trying to test the proposition.
