WOW ! Don't know what I did to deserve an invitation to Halt's new CUU discussion forum here on SI. That's the epitome of dumb as it was me who complained he/she /it was clutter on the board. So Halt if you read this. (As they say on the Shark Tank or Dragon's Den show.) I'm out

One of my sons works at Cenovus Christina lake project. He phoned yesterday and said a number of employees received layoff notices as of the end of the shift till things improve a bit in the oil market. He said recalls would not be for three to four months at the earliest. Longer if conditions do not improve.

So far Ft Hills still proceeding. Teck/ Suncor say oil production costs there will be in the 28 to $30 a BBL. range once completed. That is very low cost for the Tar sands .
There are 2 different accounting methods for oil production SE and FC . The Analysts used one the Oil companies use the other.
