Early on, this didn't have much relevance. Now that the wife would like some changes, I'll keep track quarterly.

DVK has updated his portfolio here: dailytradealert.com ,
but has has not added his income from his recent trades.

Here he talks about the trades, but doesn't update:
dailytradealert.com

"Before I started, I had a total projected 12-month dividend stream of $2,966. That was a forward estimate based on information known as of the end of December."

"But adding the shares of T, MSFT, and DLR will bring in an additional $214 over the next 12 months (again ignoring increases that have not been announced yet). So the rebalancing not only leveled out my positions and added diversity and safety to the portfolio, it also added $79 to the income stream."

$2,966 + $214 = $3180 divided by $4678, his starting amount = 6.797 yoc.

My current IRA income $12,013 divided by $178,517, my starting amount = 6.729 yoc.

$12,013 income from stocks I plan to keep in my IRA:

Symbol / shares / div. amt. / income

ACMP 175 3.40 / $595
AMLP 200 1.13 / $226
AMNF 1,000 0.072 / $72
BGS 170 1.36 / $231
CVX 192 4.28 / $822
GIS 18 1.64 / $30
HP 55 2.75 / $151
KMI 1,000 1.80 / $1800
LTC 300 2.04 / $612
MAT 150 1.52 / $228
MO 200 2.08 / $416
MPW 1,450 0.84 / $1218
MYE 100 0.52 / $52
NRF 446 1.60 / $714
O 900 2.27 / $2043
OXY 252 2.88 / $726
SPAN 145 0.60 / $87
T 170 1.88 / $320
TGT 160 2.08 / $333
TIS 100 1.40 / $140
UTG 100 1.815 / $182
VGR 350 1.60 / $560
VTR 144 3.16 / $455

I could sell these now, and at a 3% yield, up total IRA income by $2700, giving a yoc of 8.3%+, but I hope to
do much better hanging onto them for a while and collecting the income to reinvest on the other side.
