Uh, I thought diplomacy was under the purview of the executive? At least you and your tribe were insistent about that under Bush. Even fairly trivial things, like Congress critters going to another country and talking to people who weren't even the head of state. Treason y'all called it.

This trip is certainly about diplomacy. A foreign head of state wants to directly influence the internal politics of this country to win an election.
