Paul, Pentium II retail prices crash and burn! It is obvious that Has Intel reduced prices on all their Pentium II processors by about 25% without any announcement?.
Or is demand so low that box makers are dumping them for whatever they can get?

Pentium II-233 CPU's selling for $309 means that the distributor picked them up for 299 or less, 25% below announced wholesale (Quantity 10,000) price.

Other speed grades: 266 at 10% discount, MMX-233 at 14% discount (bigger discounts for quantity orders).

These low prices mean one of two things:
1. Intel has lowered prices to far below the level they announced November 1
2. Computer manufacturers have too many Intel chips and are dumping them for whatever they can get.

When do you suppose Intel will announce one or both of the above to their investors?
