Honestly, I don't think there is the slightest doubt about what happened at this point. Clinton said, "You will lend money to unqualified borrowers," the GSE's said, "Hell yeah!" and contributed more money to Democrats, Bush said, "The GSEs are getting too big," and Barney Frank said, "Bullshit!"

At the end of the day, the American People got screwed.

So WTF else is new?

If you want to get mired down in the details of extreme leverage and who took which risk, fine. But none of it changes the basic facts that loans were made to unqualified people because the Democrats created that policy.
