Marshall et al., news on the Agouron thread is about the recent awards by U/Cal-SD for "innovative products". Awards announced yesterday, the competition was among companies based in/around San Diego. Seems that ATIS won a "1st" place award in the life sciences (most innovative use of foreskin??), as attested to by the following quotation from the prize announcements. Wait 'till the market gets ahold of this news!

"Advanced Tissue Sciences' Dermagraft-TC is the Life Sciences winner.
Dermagraft-TC is a human fibroblast-derived temporary skin substitute consisting of a polymer membrane and neonatal human fibroblast cells cultured in vitro on a nylon mesh. It is used as a temporary wound covering for surgically excised full-thickness and deep partial-thickness thermal burn wounds in patients."
