Anyone have any comments on this: NEW YORK, Sept 17 (Reuter) - SLM International Inc said Tuesday it had filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware, a reorganization plan supported by each of the company's key creditor groups. The company said the plan provides for conversion of the majority of SLM's existing debt into one hundred percent of the equity of the reorganized entity that would be issued upon confirmation of the plan. SLM also said it appointed Gerald Wasserman as president and chief executive. A statement from the company said Wasserman is an experienced sporting goods industry executive who had previously served as president of Weider Health and Fitness, one of the world's largest manufacturers of exercise equipment, and Canstar Sports Inc <HKY.TO> a leading manufacturer and supplier of hockey skates and equipment. The company said former Chief Executive Howard Zunenshine stepped down to pursue other interests but will continue to serve as a consultant to the company and as a director until a new slate of directors for SLM and its subsidiaries is appointed in connection with confirmation of the plan. 10:15 09-17-96
