Yes, you are correct, YOU can already do that, but MS told Compaq that if they shipped systems configured in that way, then MS would no longer sell Windows 95 to Compaq. That's what this is all about.

I can't understand Microsoft's position on this, or the stance that they are taking with the DOJ in the courts. They may get burned big time.
