LTBH, good info. Maybe you have SP1 and Suma hasn't? And SP1 is needed to upgrade IE to V 11?
I think we'll have to help her upgrade her Toshiba Windows 7 with SP1 - next time she replies.

PS: my Win 8.1 has the version of IE you have
