They have been weighed and found wanting.... And we can thank the Egyptians for that idea of 'weighing men's hearts', also this concept is stolen from the Greeks later. As everything else was culturally borrowed & imitated. From the Egyptians then the Babylonians comes the bulk of the stories as would only be natural & we find these new Iraqi tablets only prove the case further.
