I still don't see the upside given the continued loss of market share in their core businesses. This coupled with an inability to attack new markets (due to corporate retrenchment).

Can you substantiate your remarks, or is this your opinion. Outside of a loss of market share in RAS during the 3rd quarter which many consider to be an anomaly due to the 56K problem (which has since been resolved),
ASND is maintaining its leadership in its core businesses and growing marketshare in ATM.

As for corporate retrenchment, hmmmmmmmm, pretty heady stuff. However, as for an inability in attacking new markets I wholeheartedly disagree. Reference the Furman Selz report of 12/3 "Carriers (telcos)should be a higher percentage of revenue in the current quarter, as opposed to ASND's traditional ISP customer base." Customers include Bell South, Bell Atlantic/Nynex, NTT, and an undisclosed RBOC (prob. Pac Bell or AT&T WorldNet).
