I have lived in South Africa over the period 93 to 96 and have a lot of confidence in the ANC leadership that will succeed President Mandela. The South Africans are a very determined people, white and black. They have seen what has happened to other countries that lacked the necessary skills in the beauracracy and the legal infastructure to support a first world type of society. The Senior politicians, many who I have met, are not prepared to risk plunging South Africa into the state of other Countries like Zambia, or Mozambique to name a few. While South Africa has a third world element to society it is very first world in many respects. this is no different than many countries in South America where I also place much hope on future opportunities in Natural Resource development. We in Canada are no different with the long standing conflict with Aborigional people who can alter the future development of our Natural Resource base as a result of the Federal Government's lack of final settlement on outstanding claims from the past. If you have travelled Northern Canada you will see many similarities to third world countries.

I am long on SUF and I believe you will see tremendous upside from their activities in RSA and Angola in the future where they have known reserves and imminent operating cashflow opportunities.
