Anybody check into the press release today regarding Xedia?
I spent some time checking out Xedia's web site and though the company is obviously young and small, it's products (next generation business internet access hardware and software) are interesting and leading edge. I'm a little unclear on the Shiva connection but my guess is someone from Shiva is on Xedia's board or they are an investor. Also involved are Bay, 3COM, NorTel, DEC.
It'd sure be nice to see Shiva involved in a next generation anything. It's going to take something new to bring back institutional money and other new investors, and the LanRover technology isn't it.
I'm feeling a vague resonance somehow because I like and follow Shiva, 3COM, and NorTel, and it's interesting to see that they've teamed up on something. It made me go, "hmmm", (if nothing else). |
