I just finished up a couple of books in the last two weeks that went over a lot of the stuff mentioned in the article I'm replying to.

The Big Fat Surprise: Why Butter, Meat and Cheese Belong in a Healthy Diet by Nina Teicholz (Jan 6, 2015)

She's is a professional journalist who was the last to publish something like this but the first(that I know of) who started a book about the fat controversy. It took her ten years to research and pen it. If you want to see a shortened version of the book you can go to her 20 minute TEDx Talk which she gave maybe 10 months before her book came out.

Death by Food Pyramid: How Shoddy Science, Sketchy Politics and Shady Special Interests Have Ruined Our Health by Denise Minger

Denise Minger is famous in the past for shooting holes in The China Study, and can often be seen or read saying bad things about a vegan diet. She's only 28 and she's done a whole lot of writing but this is her first book(she's a prolific blogger). I don't think I've ever seen a book in Amazon with as close to a pure 5 star rating that has as many reviews as she's gotten. Her book has been out for over one year yet no paperback. Maybe she's trying to save some trees by offering just audio, kindle, and hardcover.

Highly recommend both books, but at least for myself, I think I understand enough of the bad science that went on that I will be moving on to other topics.
