I'm really not understanding the claim of 'inefficiency' being made about solar power. Once the initial cost of the installation is amortized, their is ZERO fuel cost and the most minimal of maintenance. It seems to me the efficiency after amortization is 100%, and all other technologies save other renewables like wind far far short of it. That's not even considering the environmental costs. Being against renewable energy isn't fiscally conservative at all.
